PUPPY LOVE MEMPHIS -- Pet Puppy Purchase Agreement
As a breeder, my main goal is to achieve, by selective breeding,
Yorkshire Terriers and small breed dogs which possess the
soundness, natural ability, and personality reflected in the breed
standard, and do all that is possible to achieve and promote these qualities.
The following sale and agreement is made and entered into by and between the

The consideration of this sale shall be the sum of $_________.____, plus terms and
considerations set forth.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The seller represents:
That the above puppy has been examined by a licensed Veterinarian and
was found to be in good health.
That this puppy is being sold as a pet and companion animal. The application
for registration of this puppy is limited (*) and this puppy is not being sold for
the purposes of breeding.
That reasonable precautions have been taken to prevent this puppy from
acquiring hereditary defects of the hips, elbows, heart, eyes and thyroid.
However, due to the unknown hereditary and environmental causes of such
defects no guarantee will be given against them. That said; should the
puppy be diagnosed by a board certified specialist as being affected by one of
the above defects, the seller will, at her discretion, take the puppy back and
replace it with a puppy from another breeding within one year. If the buyer
chooses to keep the puppy and have corrective procedures performed, then
the seller will refund up to, but not over the original purchase price toward
correction of the defect. The Seller shall determine the amount of the refund.
That this agreement is void if at any time this animal is bred with or without
knowledge of the seller.
THE FOLLOWING APPLIES ONLY TO THE ORIGINAL BUYER:
The Buyer(s) Agree: That this puppy will be examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of
receipt. If the Veterinarian determines the puppy to be ill, or any reason
this puppy is unacceptable, the Buyer may return the puppy for a full refund,
provided it is in the same condition as the time of purchase. If the puppy is
returned due to illness, a verified letter from the Veterinarian is required. This
includes death or illness from any health condition deemed present prior to
removal from my premises.
That said dog will be given proper medical care including, but not limited to,
vaccinations and annual boosters, regular deworming, adequate and proper
shade, and housing in a fenced yard or kennel. That the Buyer will groom, train
and care for this dog in a manner consistent with high quality animal husbandry
practices and those endorsed by the Breeder, West Highland White Terrier Club of America,
and Yorkshire Terrier Club of America.
That this dog will not be used for any purposes of research or vivisection and
shall not be sold or given to any wholesale establishment, chain store, catalog
sales house, pet store, or puppy mill.
That the Breeder/Seller shall be given first right, before any other party, to
refund the original purchase price of this dog and take it back should circumstances
prevent the buyer (or buyer becomes unable) to provide a home for it. The original price
will be refunded within six months of date of purchase; following the six-month
period, recompense will be equitable and generously sufficient to satisfy requirements.
That this dog will never, under no circumstances, be surrendered to any
Humane Society, animal rescue group, animal shelter, ownership freely given to anyone
else, or sold. The Breeder/Seller has made it perfectly clear that this dog will be
returned to aforementioned seller should the need to surrender it occurs.
* Limited Registration means that the dog is registered, but no
litters produced by the dog are eligible for registration.
Dogs with limited registration may not be entered in breed
competition at Dog Shows. The Litter Owner may later apply to change this
designation and have the dog given full registration privileges, but a fee and
special application are required for this change.
